Grants Received

Funds totaling $72,123.32 were recently received by the School of Pharmacy and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

• Dr. Jennifer Elliott, School of Pharmacy, $10,283.32, from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention passed through the Allegheny County Health Department, to support the expansion of asthma self-management education as part of the school and community-based asthma program.
• Dr. Jennifer Elliott, School of Pharmacy, $13,531, from the Allegheny County Health Department, to support professional staff to administer the COVID-19 vaccine at Central Baptist Church as part of the county’s mass COVID vaccination program.
• Dr. Jelena Janjic, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, $48,309, from the Department of Defense passed through the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, to support the project Targeting Angiotensin-Based Neuroimmune Crosstalk for Treatment of Neuromuscular Trauma.
