Dining Services Opens New ‘On-the-Go’ Location in the Union
Faculty, staff and students can grab quality on-the-go food options at Connections, a new Duquesne Dining site on the second floor of the Union.
“Connections was launched with both quality and convenience in mind,” said Dave Manz, resident district manager for Parkhurst Dining at Duquesne. “It’s a trendy market that features a wide variety of meals and snacks and also highlights Pittsburgh’s beloved food culture.”
Connections features rotating house-made favorites such as:
- Chicken Caesar Salad
- Steakhouse Salad
- Sushi
- Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Sandwich
- Pulled Pork BBQ
- General Tso’s Chicken
- Buffalo Mac & Cheese
- and other house-made favorites.
Connections will highlight artisan products from small, family-owned businesses, including Dining-Services partner Salem’s Mid-Eastern Market, which features authentic Halal meals and sides like curry chicken, chicken tikka masala, spinach paneer, baba ghanoush and fresh hummus.
Connections also offers a light breakfast, featuring Coffee Tree Roasters coffee and Potomac Bakery doughnuts and pastries.
Connections is open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Meal Plan Flex, PLUS, cash and credit cards are accepted.
