EHS Offers Hands-On Fire Extinguisher Training

Each week, fire extinguishers save lives and property in all areas of life—in the home, the car, retail businesses, workplaces and more.

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department, in partnership with National Fire Safety, is offering hands-on fire extinguisher training to University faculty, staff and students.

The training will be held Wednesday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Academic Walk side of Mellon Hall patio. Training just takes five to 10 minutes.

All participants who complete fire-extinguisher training will receive a chocolate treat and be entered into a prize raffle.

Email Paula Sweitzer, director of EHS, for more information.
