Pittsburgh Opera’s Cheap Seats Program Available to Campus

The Pittsburgh Opera is inviting all members of the Duquesne community to take advantage of their Cheap Seats program.

The program was developed to encourage students, faculty and staff at area colleges and universities to attend Pittsburgh Opera performances by offering discounted tickets to all of its Benedum Center performances.

“Cheap seats” are available in the Benedum’s three most popular seating sections at 50-75% discount on single ticket prices. Only active Duquesne students, faculty or staff members may purchase up to five tickets for each performance through the program; however the additional tickets in their order can be used by any guest.

Tickets for faculty and staff range from $21-$46 each. This offer applies to the Pittsburgh Opera’s performances of The Magic Flute, from Saturday, Nov. 6 to Sunday, Nov. 14,  and Carmen, from Saturday, March 26, to Sunday, April 3, 2022.

Cheap Seats program tickets are sold online, held at the Benedum Center Box Office and are available for pick up starting two hours before the performance. The Box Office may ask to see a University ID at pick-up.

Tickets can be purchased online, and the promo code “PODUQ” will be pre-applied with the discounted price at checkout.
