Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program to Host Virtual Open House

The Department of Occupational Therapy in the Rangos School of Health Sciences will host a virtual open house at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, to promote the online occupational therapy doctorate program that will begin this May.

The 32-credit curriculum, which can be completed in two years and is designed to help occupational therapists take their career to the next level, will be offered in a flexible, online format and is tailored to working professionals.

“We’ve created a unique occupational therapy doctorate program at Duquesne,” said Associate Professor Dr. Jaime Muñoz, program director and chair of occupational therapy.  “Students create real-world products that can be utilized immediately to support their own professional development goals in the clinic, classroom and community.”

The virtual event will feature an overview and discussion of the following:

  • Curriculum and courses
  • Online format
  • Admissions process
  • Online student resources
  • Occupational therapy and multidisciplinary faculty
  • On-campus orientation
  • Practice-scholar capstone project, which is the culminating product of the student’s doctoral studies.
