Annual Liebermann Blanket-Making Luncheon Scheduled

The Libermann Luncheon series returns this semester with its sixth annual blanket-making service project.

Scheduled for noon on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in the Africa Room, the luncheon features the opportunity for attendees to create fleece blankets that Duquesne students will distribute during the annual Spring Break Cross-Cultural Mission Experience (CCME) coordinated by Spiritan Campus Ministry.

To create the blankets, luncheon attendees are asked to bring one square yard of solid and one square yard of patterned fleece to create the blankets that will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society and underprivileged families in West Virginia.

During a light lunch, students Anthony Barbano and Alyssa Federoff will share stories of their experiences from last year’s West Virginia mission trip.

Instruction sheets and patterns will be provided by Spiritan Campus Ministry. To attend, RSVP to Mary Beth Calorie at 412.396.6020.
