Veterans Resource Fair and Symposium Slated for Sunday
Veterans and their families can learn about local services and resources at the Veterans Resource Fair and Symposium this Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Power Center Ballroom.
Free and open to the public, the event is co-hosted by state Rep. Sara Innamorato, state Rep. Jake Wheatley, the University’s Office for Military and Veteran Students and the Duquesne’s Political Science Club.
A 2 p.m. panel discussion and question-and-answer session will feature state senators and representatives, a VA healthcare system representative and the Allegheny County director of veterans affairs.
Some of the 30 local vendors offering information on housing, health care, employment, applications and claims for benefits include:
