Homecoming 2019 Features Packed Weekend of Events

The University community is invited to join alumni, parents and friends for Seasons Change, Traditions Remain, the 2019 Homecoming celebration, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25, through Sunday, Oct. 27.

HJomecoming 2019In addition to class reunions, some Homecoming weekend highlights include:

Friday, Oct. 25:

  • Welcome Mass, noon, University Chapel
  • Homecoming Kickoff Party, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Academic Walk

Saturday, Oct. 26:

  • Campus tours (every 30 minutes), 8-10 a.m., Starbucks entrance, Union
  • Veterans’ Memorial, 11 a.m., Victory Garden
  • KidsZone, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mellon Lawn
  • Autumnfest, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Academic Walk
  • Rally to Rooney Parade, 12:30-1 p.m., Academic Walk
  • Duquesne men’s football vs. Wagner, 1 p.m., Rooney Field.

 Sunday, Oct. 27:

  • Lourdes Grotto dedication and blessing, 10:30 a.m., Bayer Learning Center Rotunda
  • Memorial Mass, 11 a.m., University Chapel
  • Ring blessing, noon, ring monument at the west end of Academic Walk.
