Grants Received

Funds totaling $38,040 were recently received by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts.

• SBDC, $23,040, from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) passed through Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation, to support the ENGAGE! Program. Dr. Mary McKinney, director of the SBDC, will administer the award.
• SBDC, $8,000, from the DCED passed through Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission, to support the ENGAGE! Program. Dr. Mary McKinney, director of the SBDC, will administer the award.
• Mary McKinney, SBDC, $5,000, from the AARP Foundation, to support the Work for Yourself @ 50+ program. The program educates limited income adults age 50+ about self-employment and provides them with the early steps they need to take to be successful.
• Maureen O’Brien, McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, $2,000, from the Loogman Faculty Research Grant Program, for West African Catechists: A Study of Ministerial Positionality and Border Navigation accepted for the 2019 annual volume of College Theology Society’s Global Catholicism.
