School of Business Offering Fully Online Micro-Credential Program

Working professionals can now learn additional skills in finance, accounting, business law and management through a new online micro-credential program in the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business.

“In today’s volatile and uncertain business climate, lifelong learning has become the norm—perhaps a necessity for a successful career,” said Dr. Karen Donovan, associate dean of graduate programs and executive education in the business school. “Duquesne is in the business of difference making, and our Business Essentials micro-credential program provides participants with important tools that can be leveraged to increase business acumen and deliver immediate returns to employers.”

The nine-credit non-degree certificate can be obtained online in just two semesters. The five-course program is geared toward business leaders who want to expand their business expertise but are unsure whether graduate study is the right fit.

For students who plan to pursue graduate study, the Business Essentials micro-credential program provides smooth pathways for admission and advanced standing credit toward both the professional MBA and MS in management programs at Duquesne.

“Our online program delivers an innovative, flexible and affordable format, and provides a smooth pathway for various graduate business degrees,” Donovan said.
