Grants Received

Funds totaling $300,777 were awarded to the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, the Small Business Development Center, the Rangos School of Health Sciences, and the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts.

  • Dr. Stephanie Wetzel, chemistry and biochemistry, $2,000, from the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy, to support the Joseph A. Feldman Equipment Grant for the 2015-2016 year.
  • The Small Business Development Center, $267,277, from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Dr. Mary McKinney will administer the award.
  • Dr. Sarah E. Wallace, assistant professor of speech-language pathology, and student Sarah Diehl, competition winner, $1,500, from the inaugural LSVT Global Small Student Grant Competition, for Use of an Integrated Multimodal Communication Treatment with Individuals with Severe Traumatic Brain Injury.
  • Dr. Norman Conti, associate professor of sociology, $30,000, from Goodwill Industries, to test the fidelity of an innovative service delivery model.
