New Academic Space Dedicated to Spiritan Founder

In a fitting tribute to Spiritan co-founder Francis Libermann, the new academic building bearing his name was formally dedicated during Founders Week on Wednesday, Feb. 2, the anniversary date of his death.

University President Charles J. Dougherty and the Rev. James McCloskey, C.S.Sp., vice president for mission and identity, presided over the dedication and blessing ceremony of Francis Libermann, C.S.Sp. Hall at 600 Fifth Avenue. Exterior signage is in place, and a schedule of renovations to the eight-story building is being planned.
