Holy Family Institute Recognizes Duquesne for Its Support

Duquesne University was recognized by the Holy Family Institute for its support of the organization at the annual Courage House Reception on Nov. 7 at Heinz Field.

Rosalie Sinagra, representing the Office of the President, attended the event and received a photo plaque on behalf of the University from Pittsburgh Steeler Max Starks.

The Ed Block Courage Award Foundation has designated Holy Family Institute as one of 20 Courage Houses nationwide dedicated to improving the lives of neglected children and ending the cycle of abuse. The foundation works with the National Football League and Professional Football Athletics Trainers Society to raise awareness and funds for Courage Houses. The Holy Family Institute was able to help 9,000 children and families in southwestern Pennsylvania during fiscal year 2010-2011.
