Forensic Fridays Explores the Role of Private Investigators
Often overlooked as users of forensic science, private investigators are frequently counted on by attorneys to apply the appropriate scientific expertise and methodologies in their work on a wide variety of criminal, civil and family disputes.
The Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law will examine the importance of private investigators during Forensic Fridays: The Role of Private Investigators in Forensic Cases, the third in its five-part Forensic Fridays series, on Friday, March 16, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Africa Room of the Union.
Presenters for the seminar include:

- Robert Meinert, private investigator
- Jeff Stein, private investigator
- Harry Cancelmi, criminal defense attorney.
The Forensic Fridays series was developed by the Wecht Institute to offer continuing legal education (CLE) opportunities on a regular basis and in shorter courses better suited to the busy schedules of professionals.
Duquesne students, faculty and staff may attend Forensic Fridays seminars free of charge.
The Role of Private Investigators in Forensic Cases has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Board for five (5) hours of substantive CLE credit and one (1) hour of ethics CLE credit. Cost: $30 per person for the general public, $10 for students, $35 for teachers, $45 for public attorneys and $75 for private attorneys.
