Undergraduate Business School Garners High Ranking

For the second time in as many years, the A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration has been named among the nation’s top 100 undergraduate business schools by Bloomberg Businessweek.

The ratings, released this week by the respected international business publication, consider a number of factors to rank undergraduate business programs. These methods include surveying senior business majors, comparing graduates’ median starting salaries and tallying the number of alumni placed in the nation’s top MBA programs.

In addition, the rankings evaluate academic quality as gauged by average SAT scores, student-faculty ratio, the size of classes in core business courses, the percentage of students who land internships and the number of hours that students have to devote to their class work.

The Bloomberg Businessweek ranking is one of a number of distinctions earned recently by the A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration, including being listed among the top tier of undergraduate business programs by U.S. News and World Report.

According to Business Dean Dr. Alan Miciak, the ranking is a validation of the quality of the undergraduate business program. “This is a wonderful recognition of academic quality, and it underscores the positive experience employers have had with our students as interns and as graduates,” Miciak said.
