Coffee House Reading Series Returns to Campus

The Coffee House Reading Series, monthly readings aimed at developing the creative writing and arts community on campus, will start tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Power Center’s Barnes & Noble Café.

The kickoff session will feature Brian Clemens and Dean Rader, poetry, and Jonathan Silverman, creative nonfiction. All sessions are free and open to the public, and begin at 7 p.m.

Other scheduled readings include:

  • Monday, Nov. 5, Lawrence Wray, poetry, and Jane McCafferty, fiction
  • Tuesday, Dec. 4, Mike Begnal, poetry, and Peter Tractenberg, creative nonfiction
  • Tuesday, Feb. 1, Craig Bernier, fiction writing instructor, and Heather McNaugher, poetry
  • Thursday, March 21, Brian Tierney, poetry, and Steven Schwartz, fiction
  • Tuesday, April 16, Keeley Teslik, fiction, and Jennifer Collins Gorman, poetry.

Sponsored by the Department of English, the series features established writers presenting their work alongside the work of Duquesne students and other emerging writers.
