Law School Hosting Director of Judicial School of Costa Rica

Dr. Marvin Carvajal Pérez, director of the Judicial School of Costa Rica and a professor of law at the University of Costa Rica, will be a visiting International professor at the School of Law from Monday, Oct. 8, to Tuesday, Oct 16.

The visit is in conjunction with a five-year academic cooperation agreement the law school signed with the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Costa Rica in March.

During his visit, Carvajal will deliver guest lectures, observe classes and clinics, and meet with state and federal judges and University officials.

Carvajal’s visit is the first in what is anticipated to be a series of exchanges and other cooperative programs through the agreement, which was developed to enhance legal and judicial education, improve and modernize the administration of justice and advance the rule of law.
