Women of Distinction Honored at Women’s Advisory Board’s Art Deco Power Ball

The Duquesne University Women’s Advisory Board will honor two women at its 2012 Art Deco Power Ball, on Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Power Center Ballroom.

The 2012 Women of Distinction Award recipients are:

  • Carol A. Behers, attorney at Raphael, Ramsden and Behers, author and president of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.
  • Lynn Emberg Purse, associate professor of music technology and area chair electronic composition at the Mary Pappert School of Music.

Guests at the Power Ball will enjoy dinner, dancing and a performance by Brennan Elliott, classical guitarist and winner of the 2012 women’s advisory music scholarship competition.

Proceeds from the Power Ball will benefit the Music School Scholarship, Palumbo-Donahue Business School and the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement. Tickets are $175 a person and can be purchased online.
