Faculty & Staff Spotlight

Sr. Rosemary Donley, S.C., the Jacques Laval Endowed Chair in Justice for Vulnerable Populations and professor in the School of Nursing, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Seton Hall University, in New Jersey. The degree was conferred on Nov. 30 as part of the ceremonies marking the 75th anniversary of the Seton Hall College of Nursing. Sister Donley was given the degree in appreciation for guidance that she provided to Seton Hall when the university launched a doctorate in nursing program and established a chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the national honorary nursing society for nursing faculty members and student nurses.

Marcia Rapchak, Allison Brungard, David Nolfi, Tracie Ballock, Bridget Euliano and Joseph Nelson of Gumberg Library, received the Judge’s Choice Award for their poster in the LibQUAL+ category, Doing LibQUAL+ at the Worst Possible Time: How Changes in the Library and University Affected Results. The award was presented at the Association of Research Libraries 2012 Library Assessment Conference in Charlottesville, Va., Oct. 29-31. One of 86 peer-reviewed posters, it presented data from the Gumberg Library’s 2006-2012 LibQUAL+ survey, using quantitative and qualitative methodologies to measure the impact of conducting a survey during a time of change.

Dr. Kent Moors, professor of political science and scholar in residence at the Institute for Energy and the Environment, presented LNG Spot Markets and the Future of Long-Term Take or Pay Pipeline Contracts on Dec. 3 at the annual Russian Ministry of Energy Planning Conference in Moscow. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Moors was invited to address the meetings at this conference.
