Law Dean, Students Attend Presidential Inauguration

School of Law Dean Ken Gormley as well as a group of law students were among the hundreds of thousands in attendance to witness Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts administer the presidential oath of office for U.S. President Barack Obama at the 57th Presidential Inauguration on Monday, Jan. 21, in Washington, D.C.

Gormley attended the event with his wife, Laura, and his daughter Maddy. Law students Simone Delerme, Stephanie Johnson and Lanre Kukoyi, represented the law school’s Black Law Students Association (BLSA) at the inauguration. Delerme is vice president of BLSA, of which Johnson and Kukoyi are members. In addition, the trio also serves on the regional executive board of the Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association.
