Leadership Breakfast Series: Inspiring Happiness at Work

The School of Leadership and Professional Advancement continues its Leadership Breakfast Series with How Leaders Can Inspire Others to be Happier at Work.

Julie Ann Sullivan

Julie Ann Sullivan will present the session on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Power Center Ballroom. Continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m.

The session will focus on how much time is spent at work and the tie-in between happiness and productivity. Research has shown that happy employees, on average, have 31 percent higher productivity and three times the creativity as unhappy people. These increases mean better bottom line results. Additionally, an increasing number of individuals have responded to surveys that they regard the environment they work in as being more important than their salary at certain levels of compensation.

Recognizing that leaders set the tone for an organization’s working atmosphere, the session examines how choices of intention, purpose and closure to the work day, can transform an office environment—not only for one’s self, but for clients, customers and coworkers.

The $25 fee includes parking, breakfast and handout materials.
