Libermann Lunch Participants to Help Hazelwood Meals on Wheels

November Libermann Luncheon attendees will have the opportunity to help prepare the Hazelwood Meals on Wheels program for the coming winter by packing blizzard bags.

The blizzard bags, which are distributed to Hazelwood Meals on Wheels program participants, include canned goods and other non-perishable food items that can be stored for use in times of inclement weather, when meal deliveries are not possible.

The Libermann Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at noon in the Africa Room, and will feature keynote speaker Mercia O’Neil of the Ladies of Charity from St. Stephen’s Parish in Hazelwood.

Supplies for the blizzard bags will be provided by Spiritan Campus Ministry. Those who wish to donate non-perishable food items may bring them to the lunch, and they will be added to the annual Thanksgiving Mass donation.

The luncheon is free to attend. To RSVP or for more information, email Mary Beth Calorie or call 412.396.6020.
