Libermann Luncheon Series Continues with Blanket-Making Service Project

Spiritan Campus Ministry will host its popular blanket-making event at the Libermann Luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at noon in the Power Center Ballroom.

The blankets will be distributed to underprivileged families with young children in West Virginia’s southern coalfields region as part of Duquesne’s Spring Break Cross-Cultural Mission Experience (CCME) for students.

During the luncheon, student Sarah Minney will share her experiences of participating in last year’s CCME in West Virginia.

Spiritan Campus Ministry will provide the materials to make the blankets, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own (one square yard solid fleece and one square yard patterned fleece is recommended). Donations of diapers, baby wipes and baby formula are appreciated.

To attend, RSVP to Mary Beth Calorie at 412.396.6020.
