Deadline Approaching to Submit Climate Change Papers and Posters

Faculty and students are reminded that they can be part of the climate change conversation at the University’s inaugural Presidential Conference on the Integrity of Creation.

Paper and poster submissions from all fields of study are welcome and encouraged, but must be received by Friday, May 15, for consideration to be presented at the conference, which is slated for Wednesday, Sept. 30, through Friday, Oct. 3, on campus.

During the conference, climate change will be discussed as a substantive and worrying change of patterns in the weather and related phenomena that negatively impact the entire planet. The implications of climate change will be explored from a variety of scholarly perspectives to consider ways to improve the planet’s future and safeguard the surrounding integrity of creation.

Prizes will be awarded to Duquesne presenters for:

  • Best faculty paper – $500
  • Best faculty poster – $250
  • Best student paper – $500
  • Best student poster – $250.

The Presidential Conference on the Integrity of Creation is free and open to the public, but registration is required. For more information, review the internal call for papers or contact Glory Smith at 412.396.4504.
