Jennifer S. Fink

Fink reports to Vice President and General Counsel Madelyn Reilly assisting in all aspects of legal affairs. In addition, she oversees the Office of Compliance and Risk Management at Duquesne. Paula Sweitzer, director of environmental health and safety, and Sean Weaver, director of anti-discrimination policy and compliance, will both report to Fink.

“As a lifelong Pittsburgh resident, I know how valuable Duquesne University is, both to its students and to the city, and I am excited about the opportunity to join the University,” said Fink, who is a resident of Shadyside. “I am looking forward to being a part of and contributing to the University’s Spiritan tradition and history of academic excellence.”

Fink most recently served as an attorney fellow for the University of Pittsburgh’s Office of General Counsel. Prior to her work at Pitt, Fink was an associate attorney at Post & Schell, PC; served as a research assistant for the Hon. David B. Torrey in the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry’s Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Adjudication; completed a law clerkship in the Pittsburgh Pirates Office of General Counsel; and was a legal intern for the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

“The legal and compliance environment for colleges and universities has become increasingly complex and Jennifer’s broad higher education experience, communication and relationship building style promises to be invaluable,” said Reilly.

Fink was admitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2012 and to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in 2013. She holds a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. in political science from Allegheny College.
