Annual Expo Will Feature the Latest in Technology, Demos

The campus community is invited to Tech or Treat, the annual Technology Expo, this Friday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Union’s Africa Room.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and talk with representatives from Microsoft, Dell and Apple to learn more about the latest innovations. The Help Desk and the University’s network team also will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice. Faculty and students will showcase some of the technology being developed on campus, including demonstrations of 3-D printers, the Oculus Rift virtual reality system and more.

In addition, attendees can take a test drive at the Anki Drive table, featuring advanced robotics and artificial intelligence-driven smart cars, or play the newly released Xbox One game Halo 5: Guardians on one of several 4K ultra-high resolution TV screens. Attendees who wear Halloween costumes will be eligible to win a prize in the event’s costume contest.
