Founders Week Continues with Music, Stories and Evening Prayers

Faculty and staff can still register for the remaining Founders Week 2016 activities.

Hosted by Division of Mission and Identity, Founders Week events continue with Spiritan Pedagogy, scheduled today, Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 4 p.m. in the Seifert Suite of the Union. Faculty are invited to attend and to explore the intersection between their scholarship and the Spiritan ethos.

Local musicians will join students from the Mary Pappert School of Music to perform music from countries where Spiritans have served during Spiritan Destinations: An Evening of Word Music at 7:30 p.m. today in the PNC Recital Hall.

Faculty and staff can enjoy a local beer flight and hors d’oeuvres as they hear Spiritans share stories of their flights around the globe during An Evening of Flights on Thursday, Feb. 4, in the Africa Room. This is an over 21 event, and a $25 registration fee is required.

The Rev. Bill Christy, C.S.Sp., will present Why Africa during a lunch-and-learn event at noon on Friday, Feb. 5, in the Africa Room. Founders Week 2016 will come to a close with Vespers at 4:30 p.m. in Trinity Hall Chapel followed by a Spiritan reception.
