Dr. Joan Lockhart, clinical nursing professor, has published her book Nursing Professional Development for Clinical Educators through the Oncology Nursing Society Press.
Dr. Aleem Gangjee, Mylan School of Pharmacy Distinguished Professor in Medicinal Chemistry in the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, attended and presented seven posters at the American Association of Cancer Research Annual Meeting in New Orleans from April 16-20.
Ken Gormley, president-elect of Duquesne, joined the board of trustees for the Sen. John Heinz History Center in April. He will serve a three-year term on the board of the museum, whose network includes the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, the Fort Pitt Museum and the Museum Conservation Center.
Dr. Alan Seadler, associate academic vice president for research and Fritzky Chair in Biotechnology Leadership, served on the panel of judges for the Pittsburgh Health and Innovation Case Competition held April 8 for graduate and professional students and post-doctorates at Duquesne, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh.
