Presented at a June 16 luncheon, the award is given to organizations with 500 or more full-time employees that raise a minimum of $100,000 in funds and demonstrates excellence in campaign engagement, energy and education.

In 2015, Duquesne raised $117,748—nearly nine percent more than its initial campaign goal—and successfully exceeded the United Way’s 105 Percent Challenge by increasing its number of leadership donors.

Thanks to the generosity of the campus community, Duquesne’s efforts helped the United Way of Allegheny County’s 2015 campaign raise a grand total of $34,788,559.

The 2015 campus campaign was spearheaded by chairperson Tom Hart, director of public safety, and co-chair Russ Grunebach, assistant vice president for finance and treasury services.
