Bayer School Hosting Graduate Science Fall Open House

The Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences will host its inaugural Graduate Science Fall Open House this weekend.

Scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the open house will provide prospective students the opportunity to tour cutting-edge labs, learn about current faculty and student research, and financial aid offers such as Ph.D. stipends and tuition waivers, fellowships and scholarships.

“The Graduate Science Fall Open House will showcase the Bayer School’s research infrastructure to highly qualified prospective graduate students who have the potential to advance the frontiers of knowledge during and after their program of study,” said Dr. Philip Reeder, dean of the Bayer School.

The school offers graduate programs in biological sciences, biotechnology, chemistry and biochemistry, and environmental science and management.

“We believe this open house will showcase all of the great scientific and educational opportunities that are available within our Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences to our region and beyond,” added Assistant Dean Dr. Phillip Palmer.
