Donations Accepted for OMA Turkey Drive Through Nov. 18

Contributions are still being accepted for the 11th annual Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) Turkey Drive.

The OMA is accepting Giant Eagle gift cards or monetary donations of any amount through Friday, Nov. 18, to provide holiday turkey dinners for local families. A $30 donation can provide a turkey dinner for a family of four.

Donations can be dropped off at the OMA office in Room 106 of the Union or departments can make donations via an account transfer.

This year’s goal is to raise enough funds to provide dinners for 250 families. To date, OMA has provided more than 1,950 turkey dinners.

“It simply reaffirms how proud we are as a community, to come together as we give back to others in need,” said OMA Director Jeff Mallory.

Faculty and staff are invited to help the OMA put together the turkey dinner packages on Friday, Nov. 18, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Public Safety Building and distribute them on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
