Duquesne’s Recruitment and Image Marketing Initiatives Garner Awards

The University’s recruitment and integrated image advertising campaigns were among the winning projects recently recognized at the 37th Annual Golden Triangle Awards.

Hosted by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the awards honor Pittsburgh’s best communication work from universities, corporations, agencies and nonprofits. The projects are judged by communication professionals from other states.

The winning Duquesne University projects include:

  • Junior Recruitment Piece: Award of Excellence
  • Admissions Recruitment Series 2015-2016: Award of Honor
  • Integrated Image Advertising Campaign: Award of Honor
  • Duquesne Magazine: Award of Honor.

The recruitment, admissions and advertising projects were the result of a collaboration between the Office of Marketing and Communications and the Enrollment Management Group.

The Admissions Recruitment Series featured a yearlong series of printed pieces. The yearlong, multi-platform Integrated Image Advertising Campaign included TV, radio and various digital campaigns that coordinated with Duquesne’s recruitment cycles and direct marketing efforts.

The collaborative work resulted in creative and more sophisticated communications efforts that included new concepts, writing and messaging; a stronger, better connection with the University’s target audience; and fresh photography and designs.
