PitchFest 2017 is Coming to Campus

Aspiring entrepreneurs will be given a chance to pitch their business ideas and receive feedback from seasoned investors during a competition being held on campus.

The Duquesne University Entrepreneurship Program and Pittsburgh Entrepreneurs Forum are hosting PitchFest 2017 in Bayer Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25.

During PitchFest 2017, technologists, entrepreneurs and teams will be given the opportunity to get exposure for their business and receive coaching while making connections to prospective management, advisors, investors and employees.

The competition will feature a speed round of 90-second elevator pitches without slides, and a final round of five-minute pitches with Power Point slides. The audience will vote to determine which of the speed round pitches advances to the final round.

A panel of serial entrepreneurs and investors will provide general feedback to all pitchers and select a winner during the final round. The winning teams will receive a basket of marketing, legal, technology and management services, in addition to cash prizes.

Staff, faculty and student teams can apply. The deadline is 5 p.m. on April 14.
