Call for Submissions for Integrity of Creation Conference on Global Water Crisis

The third annual Integrity of Creation Conference at Duquesne, focused on the theme The Global Water Crisis, has announced its submission deadline.

The deadline to submit posters focusing on the theme is Friday, May 26. Guidance for preparing posters can be found on the conference website. Successful applicants will also be invited to write an essay based on their poster for inclusion in the published conference proceedings

Conference presentations will address a variety of interdisciplinary perspectives including science, law and policy, ethics and religion. In addition, Spiritan Bishop D. Mário Clemente Neto, C.S.Sp., will speak on his work related to the global water crisis, according to Dr. Gerard Magill, chair of the conference committee and the Gallagher Chair for the Integration of Science, Theology, Philosophy and Law.

The Integrity of Creation Conference, which is free and open to the public, will be hosted at Duquesne on Wednesday, Sept. 27, and Thursday, Sept. 28.

The overall goals of the conference are to feature established and emerging research, foster interdisciplinary discussion and enhance public awareness.
