More Than 115 Employers, Graduate Program Reps at Upcoming Career Expo

Duquesne students and alumni are invited to explore career, internship and graduate opportunities at the 2017 Fall Career Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The Expo will be held in the A.J. Palumbo Center instead of its usual location in the Union Ballroom.

Hosted by the Career Services Center, the Expo will feature more than 115 employer and graduate program representatives. Many organizations are looking to recruit students from all majors for both full-time and internship positions.

Over the past five years, employer registration for Duquesne sponsored career fairs has grown by 102 percent. “The move to the Palumbo Center allows us to meet the increasing demand from our employers to connect with students and—for the first time—to offer a comprehensive group of post-grad experience options,” explained Nicole Feldhues, director of career services. “The additional space also enables us to enhance the services offered. We will provide both an expanded student preparation lounge and a dedicated employer hospitality suite.”

Faculty and staff, who are welcome to attend, are asked to encourage students to explore the many options available that day.

Among the vast list of this year’s participants are PwC LLP, Highmark Health, ALDI, Bechtel Plant Machinery, Federated Investors, PITT OHIO, KPMG, AdvantageCare, Davita and PNC, along with representatives from graduate schools such as Duquesne, the University of Pittsburgh and Carlow University.
