• Dr. Karen Jakub, assistant professor of nursing, School of Nursing, $9,000, Hunkele Dreaded Disease Research Award, for Sickness Behavior Related to Multiple Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Shocks: A Pilot Study.
• Dr. Brady Porter, associate professor of biological sciences, BSNES, $3,442, from the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, for Using DNA Metabarcoding to Investigate Dietary Shifts in Neotropical Migratory Songbirds in Breeding and Wintering Habitats.
• Dr. Wook Kim, assistant professor of biological sciences, BSNES, $4,353, Hunkele Dreaded Disease Research Award, for The Impact of Natural and Commercial Compounds on Scalp Microbiota Dynamics.
• Dr. Wilson Meng, associate professor of pharmaceutics, School of Pharmacy, $76,457, from the National Institutes of Health passed through the Allegheny-Singer Research Institute, for Induction of Allogeneic Tolerance with Bioengineered Thymus Organoids.
