Grants Received

Funds totaling $93,800 were recently received by the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (BSNES), the School of Business and the Center for Student Involvement.

  • Drs. John Stolz and Brady Porter, Department of Biological Sciences, BSNES, $76,800, from the Colcom Foundation, passed through the West Virginia University Foundation Water Research Institute and Center, for the Allegheny River region QUEST project.
  • Dr. Robert Sroufe, professor of sustainability, operations and supply chain management, $16,500, from Sustainable Pittsburgh, to support case study development.
  • Dr. Alia Pustorino, director for student life assessment and co-curricular community engagement, a $500 Collegiate Basic Needs Dialogue mini-grant from the University of Pittsburgh, for The Brother Gerard Keating Initiative and to help develop a campus food pantry.
