Dates Announced for Fall FORS Research Colloquium Series

The Center for Research for Vulnerable and Underserved Populations in the School of Nursing is hosting a lunchtime research colloquium series this semester for faculty, staff and students.

The series is held in conjunction with the center’s Forum for Research and Scholarship (FORS), which supports excellence in research and scholarship, promotes the exchange of ideas and intellectual debate, and offers peer review of writing projects.

The following events in the series will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Room 541 of Fisher Hall:

  • Monday, Sept. 17: Empirical Research in Healthcare Ethics, presented by Dr. Joris Gielen, associate professor and director of the Center for Healthcare Ethics
  • Wednesday, Oct. 10: Military and Veteran Healthcare, presented by Dr. Patricia Watts Kelley, professor and director of the Veterans to Bachelor in Nursing program
  • Thursday, Nov. 8: Competent Care for People with Disabilities, presented by Suzanne Smeltzer, director of the Office of Nursing Research and Evaluation at Villanova University, and Dr. Rebecca Kronk, associate professor of nursing and chair of undergraduate programs.
