Duquesne to Host Higher Education Diversity Conference

Local and state higher education professionals will be on campus later this month for the Greater Pittsburgh Higher Education Diversity Consortium’s (GPHEDC) third annual Professional Development Conference.

The conference will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Charles J. Dougherty Ballroom. It is open to all higher education professionals and community members who have an interest or work in diversity spaces of higher education in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Loretta Pyles, professor in SUNY-Albany’s School of Social Welfare, and Dr. Angela Campbell, executive director for Carnegie Mellon University’s Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion, will be the keynote speakers.

Registration, which is available online, is $25 per person or $250 per GPHEDC member institution to attend the conference.
