The Bystander Moment: Transforming Rape Culture at its Roots, directed by Jeremy Earp, explores the role of bystanders—especially friends, teammates, classmates and co-workers—via archival footage and clips from news, sports and entertainment media.

3E Now founder Chris McAneny will be the featured speaker following the screening. The Pittsburgh-based organization aims to educate and empower teens to eliminate dating violence by presenting evidence-based programs to local schools and organizations and mentoring participants toward leadership roles.

The Human Rights Film Series, presented by the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Cultures, is free and open to the public. All screenings begin at 7 p.m. in the Power Center Ballroom, Section A. A list of upcoming screenings can be found by visiting www.duq.edu/human-rights.
