Workshop to Address Integrating Catholic Social Thought into the Classroom

The Center for Catholic Faith and Culture (CCFC) is hosting a hands-on workshop to guide full-time faculty in discovering practical and innovative ways to integrate Catholic social thought into their own disciplines.

Teaching for the Common Good Workshop: Integrating Catholic Social Thought into Your Courses will be held Monday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 715 of Fisher Hall. Full-time faculty must RSVP at www.duq.edu/TCG by Wednesday, May 8.

Co-hosted by CCFC and the Center for Teaching Excellence, this workshop will focus on the following objectives:

  • Build foundational knowledge of Catholic social thought and its value in Catholic higher education
  • Identify a topic, issue, skill in their course that can be connected to Catholic social thought
  • Determine resources that fit their course
  • Plan how to integrate Catholic social thought resources into their course.
