Campus Alert: University Hosting Active Shooter Training

The Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with police agencies from other Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education university members, will conduct annual active shooter training in the St. Ann’s residence hall from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, through Thursday, June 27.

During these times, employees, students and campus visitors may hear sound-effect noises, such as simulated gunfire, yelling or fire alarms, and see both uniformed officers and officers in street clothes engaged in these training exercises inside St. Ann’s.
