What have Dr. Kelley Baumgartel, Dr. Michael Deem, Dr. Becky Kronk, Dan Kunz and Nicola Henry-Taylor been up to?

Dr. Kelley Baumgartel, assistant professor of nursing, presented The Development of a Biological Bank and Data Repository at the first regional meeting of the International Society of Nurses in Genetics at the University of Pittsburgh May 1.

Dr. Rebecca Kronk, undergraduate programs chair and associate professor of nursing, and Dr. Michael Deem, assistant professor of nursing, presented Nurses’ Perspectives on Patient Dismissal After Parental Vaccine Refusal April 26 at the Society of Pediatric Nurses in Washington, D.C.

Daniel W. Kunz, adjunct professor of law and a practicing attorney, was selected as a Veterans Leadership Programs 2019 Tribute Honoree. Kunz and eight other honorees were selected based on their exemplified outstanding service to the United States and positive impact on the veterans’ community of western Pennsylvania. Kunz supports the urban development practicum’s work in the region and supervises the law school’s award-winning Veterans Clinic, which offers assistance to veterans who are accepted into the Veterans Court of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Nicola Henry-Taylor, L’96, director of diversity in the School of Law, was named the 2019 Carol Los Mansmann honoree by the Women in the Law Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association. It is the division’s highest honor.
