- Sheryl Reinhard, director of IT infrastructure services, CTS, $462,680, from the National Science Foundation, for CC* Networking Infrastructure: A High-Performance Science DMZ and Dedicated Research Network for Duquesne University.
- Michael Sippey, assistant chief of public safety, and Dr. Dan Gittins, associate director of DU CAREs, $234,295, from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, for DUPD Reducing Violence Grant.
- DU CAREs, $20,000, from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, for programs to reduce and eliminate underage and dangerous drinking. Dr. Dan Gittins, associate director of DU CAREs, will administer the award.
- Temple Lovelace, associate professor, School of Education, $157,907, from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to support a six-month planning cycle to prepare for a prototype grant submission for the eXi Lab. The lab is a culturally responsive R&D hub that leverages partnerships across the network—school leaders, teachers, product developers, researchers, community organizations and data scientists.

- Bridget Green and Apryl Poch, School of Education, $100,000, from the Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust, for Outreach for Addressing Educational and Legal Challenges of Students with Disabilities.
- Cindy Walker and Darius Prier, School of Education, $5,000, from the Jack Buncher Foundation, for Mission: Generating Hope and Opportunity for Academically Capable Unaccompanied and Foster Care Youth through Professional Development of Educators at Duquesne University School of Education.
- Darlene Weaver, director, CCFC, $100,000, from the Henry Luce Foundation, for Catholicism and the Common Good.
- Benedict Kolber, BSNES, and Dr. Kevin Tidgewell, School of Pharmacy, $98,332, from the National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health.
- Jelena Janjic, associate professor, School of Pharmacy, $60,000, from the DSF Charitable Foundation, to support the acquisition of lab equipment.
