Faculty, Staff Permitted to Bring Bag Lunches to Hogan Private Dining Room

Beginning Monday, Nov. 18, University faculty and staff will be permitted to bring brown bag lunches to the Faculty/Staff Private Dining Room in Hogan Dining Hall.

Faculty/Staff Private Dining Room GuidelinesWe’re pleased to announce that faculty and staff will be able to bring brown bag lunches to the Faculty and Staff dining area in the Hogan Dining Hall to join colleagues who are purchasing meal tickets at that dining space. This issue came to the University administration’s attention thanks to Faculty Senate President Dr. Anne Burrows and Vice President Dr. Kathleen Sekula, who had received a number of requests from faculty and staff to make this accommodation. The administration consulted with Parkhurst Dining Services and identified a solution to make this possible.

Starting Monday, Nov. 18, Duquesne Dining will allow faculty and staff who bring their own lunch to join colleagues in Hogan Dining Center’s private Faculty Staff Dining Room. When doing so, those bringing lunches are asked to first check in with the cashier at Hogan Dining. The Faculty Staff Dining Room is open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and will offer a microwave and utensils for those bringing their own lunches. The guidelines are featured in the accompanying image. The Dining Services staff looks forward to seeing you!
