Next ‘Best of the Bluff’ Concert to Feature All-French Repertoire

An upcoming concert in the Best of the Bluff series will feature Mary Pappert School of Music faculty and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) members playing French masterpieces.

Best of the Bluff: Musique on the Bluff will be held Sunday, Jan. 12, in the PNC Recital Hall of the Mary Pappert School of Music. The 3 p.m. concert will be preceded by a 2:30 p.m. talk with Artistic Director and School of Music Dean David Allen Wehr and Conductor David Meyer.

The repertoire will include Camille Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals (narrated by President Ken Gormley), Gabriel Fauré’s Dolly and Francis Poulec’s Sonata for Two Pianos, among others.

The Best of the Bluff series features favorite musical works from previous years’ series as voted on last year by Bluff Series audience members.
