Final Virtual Concert of the Season to Feature Works by Brahms
The Mary Pappert School of Music’s final virtual concert of the season will feature the first two movements of Johannes Brahms’ Sextet No. 1 for Strings.
Sextet in the City will premiere Friday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. on the school’s YouTube channel. This selection was originally performed Sept. 8, 2019, as part of the Best of the Bluff concert series.
This performance features faculty members Charles and Rachel Stegeman (violins), Marylène Gingras-Roy (viola) and Adam Liu (cello), with guest artists David Harding (viola) and David Premo (cello).
A Little Friday Night Music is a play on Mozart’s renowned Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music). Each Friday since late-March, the Mary Pappert School of Music has released a previously recorded concert on its YouTube channel that features student or faculty ensembles.
