M.S. in Forensic Science and Law Named One of the Top U.S. Master’s Programs

The program also includes faculty from both BSNES and the School of Law.

An independent online publishing group that provides educational resources for forensic science professionals, CrimeSceneInvestigatorEDU.org considered several factors in naming Duquesne’s program among the top 11 in the nation. Such factors included accreditation, world-class instruction, access to state-of-the-art laboratories, and partnerships with law enforcement and the criminal investigation community.

The site described the Department of Forensic Science and Law as being “in a league of its own,” combining the standard elements of hard science with a legal education. It noted that the program’s interdisciplinary nature allows students to “look at cases not just through the microscope, but in the larger scope of legal cases and criminal history.”
