Grants Received

Funds totaling $320,914 were recently received by the School of Law, the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (BSNES), the Rangos School of Health Sciences and the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts.

  • School of Law, $177,800, from the Pennsylvania IOLTA Board, to continue to develop and enhance clinic legal education programs for law students. Funds will be administered by Katherine Norton, director of clinical and international programs and assistant professor of law.
  • Dr. Fatiha Benmokhtar, BSNES, $69,999, from the National Science Foundation, for Parton Distributions in the Nucleon.
  • Dr. Jeffrey Evanseck, BSNES, $6,000, from Gaussian, Inc., for the Center for Computational Sciences.
  • Dr. Abigail Delehanty, Rangos School of Health Sciences, $42,115, from the National Institutes of Health passed through Florida State University, for Effects of Technology-Supported Social Communication Baby Navigator Intervention to Improve Outcomes of Toddlers with Communication Delays: Preliminary Study.
  • Dr. Stacey Levine, McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, $25,000, from the PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc., to help launch the Careers in STEM: Program for Social Change, which will expose underserved high school students to math, computer science, accounting and finance careers and the impact they can have on their communities, the region and the global economy.
