To streamline and bolster its efforts, the Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is restructuring and expanding its unit, leading to the following appointments:
- Dr. Jessica Mann, director of the Center for Engaged Teaching and Research (CETR), has been named assistant vice president for community engagement. She will continue to oversee CETR as well as co-curricular and extracurricular community engagement.
- Angelle Pryor, CETR program manager, has been named assistant director of programs, partnerships and business operations at CETR.
- Dr. Alia Pustorino-Clevenger, who oversees the Duquesne University Volunteers (DUV) program and is director for student life assessment and co-curricular community engagement within the Center for Student Involvement, has become the OCE’s new director of extracurricular community engagement. The OCE will now include the DUV program, which organizes the extracurricular activities of all student organizations at the University.
- Joan Hilton will continue to work as executive assistant to Vice President William Generett and will have the added responsibility of helping him oversee OCE’s new organizational structure.
Since its formation in 2018, the OCE has served as the “front door” for internal and external audiences who want to learn about and get involved with the University’s community-engagement efforts.
